The B21T pencils help a child to develop a correct, relaxed grip on the pencil. The shape provides a broad surface for each of the touch points, Thumb, Pointer and the side of the middle finger. This allows more contact with the digit and improves feedback. The thickness aids with relaxation by separating small muscles in the hand allowing more gross involvement. The “lead” is also thicker producing a broader trace which is easy to see. A sharp point and thin trace tends to cause pressure to darken the traces. A dull point is desirable for this reason.
