Position Guide – Vertical Print

Once letters patterns have been internalized, learning to hold the paper in writing position will allow a surge in fluency enhancing processing and development of word patterns for spelling. This unique triangular shape makes it easy to teach and correlate good paper holding skills that will improve lateral movement. Fluency should be the goal of a handwriting program and paper holding skills have been shown to be the most troublesome deterrent to fluent legibility. The vertical print forms should begin to slant forward quite naturally when good paper holding skills are applied with improved text generation.
