The teacher manual provides a daily lesson outline for the entire school year. Students begin with print but the real goal is cursive. Mastery of paper position for cursive lateral movement is the initial goal. We use print letters to practice cursive movement with cursive muscles. The result will cause print letters to slant forward. Student text provides color rhythm movement models for patterning and models for applying the movement sequences to practice paper. Position guides help to teach good paper holding for the lateral movements of cursive. Cursive forms are introduced at a gross motor size including rhythmic movement as a goal. Write in the air with the animated letter card to learn where to start, which way to go and how to move with rhythm.
